As a new business owner who has committed to an open office style environment, you are a firm believer that collaboration and team work will grow your business and provide learning opportunities for your employees. But you also recognize that it is important to have closed in spaces for meetings and conference calls, employee performance reviews, focus groups, or human resources tasks that must adhere to strict privacy laws. The most economical and functional means of creating privacy but not losing openness is through the addition of divider walls throughout your office.
IMT Modular Partitions Ltd. is a premier provider of high quality divider walls throughout the North American market, as well as Europe and the Middle East. Founded more than a decade ago by interior construction specialist Shay Sekler the company made an award winning debut in Toronto at IIDEX 2002 where it took home the prestigious Gold Award in the systems furniture category.
Dimensions and Compatibility of our divider walls
The company’s signature product is the IMT Wall, comprised of any number of divider walls of different dimensions and coverings that can be easily disassembled and relocated as needed. Available widths are: 12 through 48 inches in 6 inch increments, with special widths available upon request. Standard wall heights are 8 or 12 feet but can be customized to accommodate space or design requirements.
While many older offices are characterized by well-worn and mismatched modular systems, IMT’s divider walls are designed using 6 inch modules to match most contract furniture standards. This means that business owners can integrate existing furniture components with the IMT Wall. Accessorizing is simple, thanks to a series of proprietary brackets which enable the mounting of different furniture components like work-surfaces, storage components and accessories including whiteboards, tack-boards and universal accessory tiles.
Materials and the Environment
IMT Modular Partitions Ltd. truly is a “green company,” dedicated to not only protecting the environment and helping company’s reduce their carbon footprint, but through the use of sustainable and recycled materials. All totaled, 94 percent of the materials the company uses come from recycled sources.
- Steel components are made from a minimum of 8 percent post consumer recycled content and 33 percent post industrial recycled content.
- The aluminum components in our divider walls are made from at least 13 percent post consumer recycled content and 48 percent post industrial recycled content.
- Not to be outdone, wood claddings are comprised of 3 percent post consumer recycled content and 33 percent post industrial recycled content.
The Customer Knows Best
Since IIDEX 2002, Shay Sekler and Eduard Borochov knew they were on to something special. There was a glaring performance gap in the market: the need for truly affordable modular wall systems that could blend into any office decor, but would not need to be torn down and thrown away as requirements changed. Customers agreed, and the company has installed more than 100,000 linear feet of product throughout the North American market, plus Europe and the Middle East.
